For my list, I tried to choose novels that I've always been meaning to read. Books that, as someone with a degree in English, I maybe should have read a long time ago. I did not want any book on the list that I'd read before and I also didn't want to have any author more than once. I feel my list has a good range!

You have several of my favorites on there--in particular, The Good Soldier, Catch-22, If on a winter's night a traveler. I still have vivid memories of reading Catch-22 in high school and thinking "huh, so this is why people get so excited about literature."
