Wow, Crystal what a great variety of books! I'm glad you too have The Girl She Used To Be by David Cristofano on your list too. I loved his idea of exploring the disruption of identity that might be caused by growing up in Witness Protection.

Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott was funnier than I expected it to be. She talks to her reader as if we were drinking coffee together at her kitchen table. This is one of those rare books that seems to never actually make it back into the bookcase. It's always floating around on the couch or my desk somewhere.

I'm looking forward to reading about your progress here.

Nancy,

This should be a very wide variety. I hit 48 on my own and was stuck. I resorted to asking people on twitter, finding books by authors I follow on twitter, I even looked up books represented by agents I follow on twitter (gotta love that twitter), and I stole from all your lists. ;) That's probably why we have the same book listed.

I listed Bird by Bird because in the last two months I have seen it on more than three blogs, and it still seems to keep popping up.

I start To Kill A Mocking Bird today. Gotta get that one out of the way. So people stop looking at me like I have the plague.

Happy reading!

Crystal: I especially liked your "Anything by Anne Tyler"! I share your sentiments. I especially liked The Accidental Tourist (NOT, mind you, the movie! Hated that!) and St. Nobody. Love her quirky characters.

Good luck in your quest.
