This project fascinated me as soon as I saw it announced. I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I started with Moonrat's list, since that's where I heard about the project...but I've refined it since then. I've blogged (a very little) about it on my Web site.
Moonrat's (Andromeda's?) list was great for me to start with since it included a lot of authors I wouldn't normally choose for myself. My refining criteria:

my copy of SECRET LIFE OF BEES just arrived on thursday... i wonder if i have time to read it before middlemay starts? probably not... but maybe i can read it meanwhile.

You know, I didn't really think I was going to like the Secret Life of Bees...but I really did. I couldn't put it down. It has some very powerful characters. [I should write the review, I know!]
I picked up The Mermaid's Chair, just because I liked Bees so much....I hope I'm not disappointed!
