Infinite Summer

I don't know if anyone else here reads The Morning News, but I thought I remembered some talk around here about reading David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest" and this announcement caught my eye.

This summer TMN is co-sponsoring the ultimate book club event of the year: Infinite Summer, in which readers will tackle—to the last footnote—David Foster Wallace’s literary monolith, Infinite Jest. The reading doesn’t begin until June 21, so there’s still time to pick up your own copy. Our own Matthew Baldwin and Kevin Guilfoile are among the expert guides.
Happy Friday, everyone!

Yep, I posted on this project a week or two ago. At the time of my post, I wasn't sure if I was going to do it, but I have now decided that I am.

Hi JenA,
I've been away from FITG for a bit, I must have missed your post. I'm probably in too - even Infinite Jest is not on my 100 list. No Risk, no fun... ;-)

I saw this on another forum and I think I'll participate as well. Or at least try - gotta lot of MIDDLEMARCH to read between now and Monday! Peace, Linda

I am having some trouble getting on this site from where I am, and only seem to be able to access it every once in a while (all blogspot sites, in fact). I saw this project on another site — right after I finished reading IJ for my FITG's list! It might have been more fun reading it if I was reading with a group like that.

Anyway... I did finish it!
